No nonsense / pure metal

An excellent podcast for the true metal enthusiast! I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I have so far, although I am only through half of the second episode. These guys are around the same age as myself and definitely have the same deep interest in the history of the genre (and its many sub-genres).

A great amount of care and attention goes into the content here, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn other bits of interesting minutia along the way. I have spent a good deal of my youth obsessively learning about the history of metal and still, here is more treasure to be plundered.

The production of the episodes is sufficient, not flashy, and you don’t get any of that unappealing hyperactive “like and subscribe” chatter or stupid sound effect nonsense so common to heavily monetized YouTube / Podcast outlets.

The addition of substantial sound clips is also a great feature, especially so for more obscure bands and tracks. The pure love of metal shines through here and is something I can deeply appreciate and recommend!
