Growing up, Michele felt like something was off with her dad. It wasn’t until she was nine years old when he was taken to jail for public intoxication. That’s when she realized her dad had a drinking problem. With her dad in jail and her mother trying to get a divorce, Michele couldn’t control her life, but she knew she control appearances so she became obsessed with how she looked and what she ate – to an unhealthy obsession. She started taking health pills, struggled with eating disorders, alcohol, and cocaine. Her life spiraled out of control, when her mother gave her a ultimatum: get yourself clean or get out.
