Millennium’s “Helping Ourselves” Group The Millennium Counseling Center Podcast
-
- Mental Health
As therapists, we need therapy too. In this episode, Devona Alleyne and Alexandra Bourlas discuss Millennium Counseling Center’s new group called Helping Ourselves.
Helping ourselves is a group mindfulness experience that offers support and learnings that may be absent when practicing. For our helping professionals. We are ready to support you!
The term “mindfulness” is a particular way of paying attention to our present-moment reality, without judgement. We will use mindfulness to gain a wider perspective about the ways our experiences relate to our inner world.
The groups’ focus is to learn about various meditative practices, how to self-care, take note of our mind-body connection, and be conscious of our feelings, thoughts, and associations in relation to what is happening in the group.
