Milwaukee Hip-Hop Museum

Emergence w/ Dr. Tavara Johnson

Dr. Tavara Johnson interviews Antonia Anderson. Antonia is the CEO and Founder of The Milwaukee Hip-Hop Museum, established in 2019 in Milwaukee's Lindsay Heights Neighborhood. The museum houses over 3000 artifacts from the late '70s to the 2000s, including tapes, records, magazines, and memorabilia. Antonia has collected these items since 2010 and has connected with numerous Hip-Hop influencers. She also works for the Milwaukee School District, teaching children about Hip-Hop's Five Elements. Antonia's dedication extends to researching ways to integrate Hip-Hop into education. Supported by her family, community, and faith, her goal is to create a mobile museum to reach schools, colleges, and senior homes.
