For the March episode of Mind Yo Business, we invited another wonderful friend into the Pritchett Brothers studio for a great discussion! Andrew and our guest, Matt Osgood, start off the podcast as any March podcast should – a conversation about college basketball. From there, Matt and Andrew go all in!
 
Matt Osgood was born in Wisconsin, spent much of his younger years in Iowa, and his family finally ended up in Bloomington. Matt talks about why he stayed in Bloomington, family matters, and how his 20-year career at the YMCA began! And, once we got Matt on the topic of the YMCA, we heard why he has stayed with the nonprofit for so long.
 
As the Director of Development, Matt works directly with community members and donors to keep the incredible programs offered at the Y both available and affordable. He shares more about the mission of the YMCA, how a nonprofit organization runs, and some of the programs they offer to members of the community! This episode will leave you excited for March Madness, eager to visit a YMCA, and excited to contribute to nonprofits in your community!

Your Podcast Master, Andrew Lambert, brought another special guest into the studio for our February episode of Mind Yo Business. Not only is Friar Gabriel a Brother in the Fransican Church, he likes to shred on his skateboard and had a lot to share with us!
Friar Gabriel, formerly known as Brandon, was born in New Hampshire and was raised Catholic with his brothers and sisters both there and, later, in Virginia Beach. He recalls the moment he found skateboarding “at the bottom of a mountain on a gravel driveway”. Since taking his vows and becoming a Franciscan Friar of the Immaculate (FFI), he has devoted his time to traveling the country and sharing the gospel message through skateboarding.
He shares a story about his time in Australia when he steered a young man in the right direction, he discusses two Bloomington skater extraordinaires who he sees as elevating the sport, and Andrew and Brother Gabriel discuss the stereotypes surrounding skate culture and how Brother Gabriel is working to change that.
This episode begins in a unique way and ends with a typical discussion of Lambert Rolls. Brother Gabriel gives Lambert Cafe a seal of approval for throwing bread at patrons. Don’t miss this great conversation!

For the final episode of Season 6 of Mind Yo Business, your Podcast Master invited Josh Johnson into the studio. Josh Johnson is a well-known name throughout Bloomington, and for good reason! 
Josh grew up in Cicero, Indiana, and like many others who have made Bloomington their home, made his way south to attend Indiana University for Communications. After graduating, he worked for over a decade as a venue manager and booker for places such as Uncle Festers, Second Story, and more. We got an attorney on the line so Josh could share with us some insight into an experience he had with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Leon Russell. After leaving that scene, Josh began running his company Mid By Midwest, Bloomington Pub Quiz, and serving the Board for MidWay Music Speaks. He tells us about what it is like to be a self-employed game creator, writer, event planner, and host.

For the November episode of Season 6, Andrew Lambert welcomed Brandon Barrett into the studio for another great conversation. Stuffed with turkey and enjoying the holiday season, this conversation was one for the books!
Brandon Barrett was born in Solsberry, IN, and moved to Bloomington at the age of fourteen when his dad took a position as a police officer. After graduating from high school, Brandon joined the Marine Corps (oorah!) and held the position of machine gunner while stationed at the reserves in Terre Haute. He shares how after leaving the Marines, he ended up working in the energy biz, which ultimately brought him where he is today. 
Brandon shares how his time with the energy company taught him to look out for the interests of others, why the best way to get publicity is to help others, and why he is so successful at running the Barrett Agency - Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
