My Friend is a Black Belt in Meditation

My Friend is a Black Belt in Meditation

Embark on a riveting exploration of personal growth and creative mastery as we navigate through a day teeming with artistic innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. My time with Val, a visionary travel videographer, showcases the awe-inspiring potential of social media to captivate and inspire. Alongside him, jiu-jitsu renchi Jesse Catalano and fitness influencer Greg O'Gallagher share their secrets to melding passion with profit, while meditation maestro Milan from Parker offers tranquility tips to rival the discipline of martial arts. Each story weaves a rich tapestry, a celebration of the synergies between discipline, creativity, and seizing the moment.

The plot thickens with a close-up of our adrenaline-fueled ventures, from crafting Instagram-worthy video magic with Val to transforming a casual tip from Crypto Dan into a profitable NFT gamble. The day's narrative is punctuated by a dinner with the irrepressible Greg O'Gallagher, where fitness and life lessons mesh with the clink of cutlery. And a cameo from Zach Delmonico illuminates the surprising intersection of social media with the construction industry. These encounters are not just moments; they're the building blocks of innovative partnerships and financial wizardry.

As the curtain falls, the episode transcends into a realm of introspection and profound wisdom. A powerful meditation session with Milan offers a glimpse into the soul, leading to ego-shattering epiphanies best left unrecorded. The transformative energy carries over into a public speaking event in Aueira, Portugal, where the embrace of affirmations and a shift in perspective elevate my stage presence to new heights. With each story shared, our journey underscores the everlasting pursuit of knowledge, self-discovery, and the joy of life's unexpected twists. Join us for an episode that promises to stir the soul and ignite the imagination.

4th Degree Blackbelt Teaches the Way of the Ninja in Life & Business

4th Degree Blackbelt Teaches the Way of the Ninja in Life & Business

Welcome to this episode of the podcast, today we have Jesse Catalano, my new Sensei in becoming a literal ninja...

As I settled into a quieter part of LA, my senses sharpened to the undercurrents of the city, recently tested by an encounter that blurred the lines between defense and compassion. Our latest episode wanders through the complexities of such human interactions, delving into the unexpected lessons they can reveal. We'll explore the 'cycle seven'—a reflective period before one's birthday, and the critical notion of zan-shin, the art of total awareness. It's a conversation that connects the dots between ancient wisdom, the anticipation of our future selves, and drawing strength from our past, all while navigating the urban landscape.

There's something deeply human about the way we connect with others, especially those who live on the fringes of society. Join me as I share a personal story involving Dante, a homeless man whose initial confrontation evolved into a moment of profound understanding over a cup of coffee. This episode isn't just a narrative; it's a journey through the triggers of human engagement and how our choices in those moments can lead to either conflict or connection. We examine the subtle signals we emit and receive, and the balance between self-defense and the open hand of kindness.

Navigating the streets of LA, or any city, comes with its share of complexities when it comes to personal safety and the ethical treatment of its homeless citizens. We'll share strategies and personal anecdotes about maintaining security without sacrificing respect or projecting fear. It's about the confidence that comes from self-defense skills and the empowerment they offer, all while fostering compassion in the heart of the city. Tune in for an episode that merges the practical with the philosophical, offering a fresh perspective on the intricate dance of urban coexistence.

    Ninjapreneur Priorities

Imagine being catapulted into a solo Disneyland adventure, while your Ninja gears are still turning at full speed—that's exactly the whirlwind I found myself in alongside Chloe, our nephew Noah, and the family. This episode is an exhilarating ride through personal anecdotes and the vital lessons I've learned as a 'ninjapreneur', showcasing how life's unexpected turns can lead to growth, awareness, and even the delightful chaos of a theme park. Plus, we'll peek into the upcoming week that's chock-full of events that promise to keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive and kicking.

As we wade through the intricacies of networking akin to an A&R rockstar, I'll unravel the art of creating connections that add value and drive business forward. You'll hear how a simple family outing can transform into a powerhouse of opportunity and the sweet sound of success—just like the deal-making tales from our Ninjapreneur group. And for those who appreciate the finer details of business management, there's a segment on the tax perks of pimping out your office space. Strap in for a session that's anything but ordinary, where we connect the dots between fun, finance, and forging ahead in the entrepreneurial fast lane.

Arlin is a net positive

I began listening to this podcast in the middle of the Gran Via in Madrid. Arlin’s insights made me literally stop in my tracks. I’ve since taken action on his advice and joined Tribe Accelerator and my life has improved exponentially. I’m writing this on a bus on my way to NYC to meet with other Tribe guys. Can’t recommend this guy’s content enough

TEHOKA!

Hey Arlin. First of all, it's spelt TehoKa, so no, you did not get it right, I'm sorry to tell you. I am going into my senior year of high school on Long Island am a big lacrosse player (which is why I know Tehoka and the Thompson brothers and my father is actually an Albany alum fun fact). Anyways, as my lacrosse season was obviously canceled, I have become very into self-development and looking for other ways to improve myself, besides working out and the obvious ways, during quarantine. Although I've worked to improve myself mentally for lacrosse, for a long time, through journaling, visualization, self talk, etc., I have become more immersed recently and have made it a goal to listen to part of one podcast every day, preferably a self-development podcast and I'd have to say yours may be my favorite and I've listened to every episode so far. In addition, I've been watching all your videos and have been subscribed to your channel for over a year and you've become a very influential person in my life (and I've even started watching many of your friends from BU, especially Gretchen whose new golden retriever is perfect btw), as I immediately realized the connections between our lives (such as your love for hockey, which I immediately realized and related to, your role and uncertainty in high school and your desire to develop and better yourself psychologically and, in turn, physically) and I hope to make a difference in the world and do something similar to you in the future, although pave my own path. I may even consider applying to BU, as I have family from the Boston area and absolutely love it and although I've always thought I would want to attend a school a state-type school with a campus, rather than a school in a city, Boston University has became much more appealing to me, especially thanks to your content there! Lastly, I hope you see this and it is any sort of motivation to continue making videos and podcasts and I look forward to continuing to listening to all of them!
