How Pride Can Steal Our Gratitude in Youth Ministry

How Pride Can Steal Our Gratitude in Youth Ministry

Pride and ministry, unfortunately, can often times go hand in hand.  How can we have a heart of contentment and thankfulness but at the same time want to continue to push ourselves and our ministries to be better?  Today, we take a look at the pride in youth ministry and how it can steal our gratitude.  We also dive into how we can make those adjustments to have the correct focus and mindset.

In this season of thankfulness, we wanted to offer our deepest and sincerest thanks to you our listeners & viewers.  There is a lot of work that goes into the planning, filming and editing of this podcast because we want every episode to be full of value and useful resources for you.  Some of you have reached out for a way to contribute to our ministry and up until now, we haven’t had a specific way of doing so.  We have had people send us gifts and gift cards to show their thankfulness and for that we are truly grateful.  Today, we are officially launching a Patreon account for any of you who have gained some value from our podcast and wish to support us financially.  Patreon is a platform that allows patrons to show their support for creators by giving a monthly pledge as a way to say “thank you” and “I support you.”
If you have it on your heart to support this ministry, please consider going to our Patreon page at: www.patreon.com/ministrycoach
Please do not feel obligated to give, we will still be putting out the best content we can for as long as we can; however, if it is something you can and want to do, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for all the support you have already given us in your listenership and viewership!

Why You Don't Have What it Takes to Do Youth Ministry

Why You Don't Have What it Takes to Do Youth Ministry

Have youth pastors gotten so good at their jobs that they've missed the point of youth ministry? God has given us all gifts and it's our job to use them for our youth group, but do we lean on them too much?  Today's episode is a recalibration of what student ministry is and how we need to approach it - on whose power and on whose authority are we doing ministry?

We love hearing from you all and we do our best to provide powerful and insightful youth ministry content on a weekly basis to be that coach and mentor you may not have, but desperately need.

Ultimately, guiding our youth ministry students towards Jesus is always the number one priority in our Sunday and mid-week programs; but, it's always good to have a mission statement (or vision statement) for your student ministry so that you can stay focused on the best ways to get them there.  Vision casting is an excellent way to get your direction and guide your youth group so that there can be purpose to everything you do!  Today, we will be sharing the vision statement for our youth group and what it all means.

Encouraged & Refreshed

WOW! This is the podcast I didn’t know I needed. I’ve been in youth ministry for years and still learn new things every week here. Thanks for all you do!

Whodi The Legend ,

Fun and Quirky!

I love this podcast. Very engaging content and hosts. You can tell that these two married co-hosts work with students. Something you can also see is that they enjoy working with students and passing along helpful tips learned along the way. If you work with students, this is a top tier podcast to add to your listening library. Look forward to many more funny and quirky episodes to come.
