Lock them down: killing the poor to stop a virus
It's very easy to sit comfortably from a place of privilege or even from a sincere concern for the "ordinary people" who survive on a day-per-day basis. Do we realize the gravity of the sacrifice, we're asking them to make? To literally die so we can survive and get on with our wonderful busy lives as soon as the pandemic passes? The facts do not lie, we're not prepared in the least to survive a health crisis. Handling everything with brute force will certainly result in more casualties than any virus, that is a simple truth!

Embracing our identity the stubborn kinky way [Part 1] - Adanna Enwezor
How did you discover and embraced your African identity?
On this episode of For Africa by Africans, I spoke with Adanna
Enwezor, a sociologist who is passionate about African hair care...
and our identity as Africans. She is the founder of the African Hair
Summit -a first for the continent- and Photizo Life Foundation.
In this podcast she talks about how she embraced her identity as an
African by learning to love and care for her hair. For four years
the African hair summit has been inspiring and teaching African
women, girls ... and men to love and care for the kinky hair that
adorns much of Africa's population.
