The Murders of Jay Cook and Tanya Van Cuylenborg
This episode takes us up north to Canada where on November 18th, 1987, 20-year-old Jay Cook and his girlfriend 18-year-old Tanya Van Cuyenborg set out on an overnight road trip that would take them from their hometown of Saanich, British Columbia, Canada, to Seattle, Washington. They had planned on sleeping in the back of their van for the night, then collecting supplies for Jay's family's furnace company, before turning around and heading back home. The couple never arrived to collect the supplies, and when they didn't arrive home the next evening as planned, their families called the police to report the couple missing.

Anthony Hill
Anthony Hill was a black, decorated air force veteran who served a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Upon returning home, he settled in Chamblee, Georgia, outside of Atlanta. He had been suffering from mental health issues and PTSD.
On March 9th, 2015, police were called to Anthony’s apartment complex to respond to reports of a naked man behaving bizarrely in the complex. Based on the call, it was clear that the man was suffering from a mental health crisis and needed medical attention. Within minutes of arriving a DeKalb County police officer named Robert Olsen shot Anthony twice, killing him at the scene.

Overly loud ads
I appreciate the soft and contemplative voice Colleen uses in her podcasting. Murder is a tough subject to discuss, and she does it with kindness and a touch of reverence. My number one complaint is the ads. I would listen more often if I didn’t have to constantly turn the volume down each time an ad rattled and jangled in my ear. The podcaster’s voice, a little louder, keeps me listening. So, Colleen, write your own ad scripts or use the product manufacturer’s, and voice your ads yourself. You may find your listeners will stick with you through the entire episode. And personally, though I listen to serialized podcasts, I always wait until the last episode has been dropped. In other words, I binge. You may find others do the same, and you lose advertising impact when the same ads are heard over and over in one episode after another as we binge through a 4-6 episode show.

Not fond of the show. Also, a lot of fluff and up speak.

Love the whole show, even through the changes, it stayed constant, I hope new episodes are coming soon, I miss the story telling, thanks!
