    We're joined once again by Steph Allen (first appearance ep. 37). Steph will be speaking about ACL with Wesley Wang (Ep. 61) at the CALU summit. Steph will be addressing communication and psychosocial considerations at the summit. Here's a bit of a taste of what you can expect from Steph, enjoy and see you at the summit!

    Bio:
    Steph graduated from the Ithaca College DPT program in 2013, then decided to stay in the Ithaca and complete an orthopedic manual therapy residency at Cayuga Medical Center.  At the end of 2014, she embarked on the adventure that is travel PT and worked in NY, CA, NM and CO. Hungry to learn more about strength and conditioning and sports physical therapy, she sought out an amazing opportunity in Boston and is now a senior physical therapist at Boston Physical Therapy and Wellness.Here, she is spearheading community outreach and education in youth sports, specifically in the area of ACL injury risk reduction. She is also the co-founder of The Level Up Initiative, which aims to create a culture shift and positive change in healthcare through mentorship of new graduates and students. Steph is passionate about establishing a higher standard in youth training and movement development so as to shift to a more proactive model vs. reactive. She is determined to see injury rates decline, and to see the profession of physical therapy evolve to where the standard of care is reflective of the best available evidence.

    Dr. Ray is a chiropractor based out of Harrisonburg, VA. He owns and operate Shenandoah Valley Performance Clinic and specializes in the rehabilitation of neuromusculoskeletal issues, associated pain, and dysfunction. He enjoys helping athletes from various backgrounds return to their desired level of activity. His primary goals for working with clients, educate about their situation and collaboratively design a game-plan to move them from where they are at to where they want to be.

    Dr. Jarred Boyd currently works for the NBA franchise, Memphis Grizzlies as a Performance Physical Therapist. Prior to joining the Grizzlies, Jarred was on staff at Rehab 2 Perform in Frederick, Maryland. He currently is still involved with the R2P Academy Continuing Education platform.
    As a sport’s physical therapist, Dr. Boyd’s goal is to facilitate return to activity and enhance athlete’s potential by identifying opportunities to enhance durability and sustainability.

    Jason Eure, PT, DPT, CSCS, USAW-1 is a Physical Therapist and clinic director for PT Solutions in Vienna, Virginia. In addition to clinical duties, he currently serves as a Stronger By Science coach and acts as a strength and conditioning coach to national and international-level swimmers. His interests include exercise prescription with a focus on return to sport and the management of tendinopathy.

    Nicole is a physical therapist and performance coach who specializes in return to play for athletes after an injury. A former division-1 soccer player herself, she understands the importance of getting back to performance levels of sport for the athlete and tailors the rehab and reconditioning program to suit the athlete’s specific sport, position, and individual demands.
