Mission 2020 (Week 11‪)‬ Alpine Bible Church

    • Christianity

*Pastor Byron Stewart - Acts 17:16-34*

This study is about "Who we are as a Church: Our Beginning, Our Purpose, and Our Future." Believers are called from within Christ's Church to take the Gospel to the nations, building disciples to make up New Local Church bodies to reach even more souls for Christ's kingdom!

The Lord established the pattern of believers assembling together and He called this assembly "the Church." He also clearly defined their primary purpose: to be His Witnesses "in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." And this mandate is still in effect until the day of His return.

The Lord intends for us to Reproduce ourselves by sharing with others of His amazing Gospel, trusting His Spirit to do the work of conviction and conversion. Our work is that of Discipleship: training others and the sending of those who are 'called' into specialized ministry.

We must also be open to God's leading in the forming of new churches. It's easy to think of ourselves as small & insignificant, yet God uses weak things to magnify His glory! People need to hear His Gospel, and we are His witnesses!
