Been missing that voice and guy every morning

I am so glad to hear Mitch again. I’ve been listening on the radio, streaming from NY to Tokyo while traveling - one of the 16/39 from the beginning in Seattle. Hated that he needed to step away, and I checked the rumor mill often to see if/when he might be coming back, in some form, to a medium where I could enjoy him. That it took me MONTHS to write this is a sign of what a procrastinator I am - and actually, the fact that I’ve gotten around to it might just be the best compliment I can give.

Mitch is a good guy. A kind, decent, compassionate guy. Like all of us, he has pain and sadness, and like all of us, when we feel we can’t express it, that we must just hide it, we are susceptible to bad choices in an effort to numb that pain. A bad decision didn’t change who Mitch is. It may have simply been what was required to allow him to open up and be helped.

I didn’t see Mitch the least bit differently after the incident and he left the air. I felt badly, knowing how dark things must’ve been for him.

That he has been making me laugh, entertaining me through the years, giving me viewpoints to consider - a creative, intelligent and interesting show - even when he felt rough, is a testament to his quality as a man and as a professional.

Great podcast! So glad to have you back. Shared the podcast with all my friends.
