110: Take Responsibility for Your Life!

110: Take Responsibility for Your Life!

Does Life just happen to you?  Do you blame other people for who and where you are?  Or do your OWN your choices and where you are in your Life right now?

    In this Episode I discuss:

the STORY that we often tell ourselves as to why our Life is the way it is
why we need to really QUESTION this limiting belief
how my husband Ed has taken responsbility for a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease from 2009, and has realized after his experience at Warrior Week that his STORY of being a sick man was b******t
why I believe that taking Responsibility for your actions, choices, and decisions is the ONLY way for change to come about in your Life

107: You Are a Product of Your Environment

107: You Are a Product of Your Environment

Do you ever see yourself changing into something you do not want to become?

Do you feel you're losing who you are?

Are you the YOU you want to be, or are you simply a product of your environment?

    In this Episode I discuss:

some awful memories that resurfaced from when my husband had emergency surgery in 2010
the person I saw him starting to become again leading up to a recent medical procedure that he had done
the realization that what I was seeing was Ed becoming a product of his environment (sick people in a hospital)
the power you have to change a situation you may be in if it's not allowing you to be who you are

    Then ask yourself these questions:

What do you want to change?

    How will you do it?

What help do you need to ask for to make it happen?

Olga Sem ,

Exceptional show

Very entertaining, pleasure to listen to the Dr. Osborn voice, and I am learning so much! I downloaded all shows from first one and listening on my way to/from work. I discovered this show while listening to the interview with Dr. Osborn at " Inspiring Mama" podcast. Thank you for sharing so much wisdom.

Weak

Hard to follow. Skips around a lot. Content is like reading a blog post with no direction.

Real conversations.

I’m a fan of this podcast, because I think Karen finds wonderful, interesting guests to interview. At first I wasn’t a fan of the fact that she basically asks everyone the same set of questions, but the format grew on me, and now I look forward to what the various guests’ answers to questions like “What is your favorite quote?” are going to be. I don’t agree with all of Karen’s viewpoints, but that’s OK. She provides a space for interesting conversations to take place! My only suggestion is that Dr. Karen slow down a little bit, especially in her shorter episodes when it’s just her talking, like the Essential Oil episodes. Slow down and speak with confidence. Otherwise, great show and I will keep listening.
