Mona Tavakoli - Drummer, Artist, Founder of Rock n' Roll Camp For Girls Los Angeles and Creator of The MT Box Cajon Claim It! with Tricia, Your Joyologist

    • Self-Improvement

If you have ever met Mona or seen her play drums, you likely fell in love with her. She’s that type of person, so alive, so interesting, so awesome.  Mona didn’t set out to be a professional drummer and create her own drum with the biggest drum company in the world but she did it. She took us through her journey of doing beauty contests as a first generation American girl, to becoming her college’s mascot, becoming the most booked college act at NACA with her band Raining Jane, writing hit songs and touring with Jason Mraz, Co-founding the Los Angeles Rock’n’Roll Camp for Girls which empowers women and girls through music and so much more.
As always we talk about how we move through fears, worries, doubts and how she is able to be on stage, and show up to all the BIG things she creates.
You can find more detailed show notes and links to things we mention at https://yourjoyologist.com/podcast-mona-tavakoli and from me in general at https://yourjoyologist.com and @yourjoyologist on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook
