Sherman Jenkins, Alderman-at-Large for the City of Aurora, IL & the African American Men Of Unity are hosting their 13th annual event! The event is open to the public, drive thru and on a first come, first served basis. Shouts out to great community partners and public servants. Spread the word! #backtoschool

- Our awesome State Representative for the 83rd district Barbara Hernandez is hosting her Virtual Social Justice Meeting tomorrow evening starting at 5 pm. This is always a great way to learn and debate the issues, become knowledgeable about policy, and discuss action and next steps. This month’s guest speaker is Leader Marcus Evans. - Aurora Downtown is hosting a new event this summer: Back to School Block Jam on Saturday, August 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. It'll be an afternoon of fun, entertainment, and free community resources. Local organizations are welcome to promote events, classes, workshops, and other activities that focus on education and resources for Aurora residents. Event is for all ages and will include food vendors, DJs, and family-friendly activities. This will be a great time for everyone; spread the word and come out for some fun! #supportlocal
