You guys are so funny and I love listening to you when I’m in my car or working out. Ash is so funny and Alaina you are so good at research.
I listen with my kids and they think you guys are so great.
I think you guys should do an episode on Casey Anthony.

Too much meandering giggle chat for me

I don’t understand the reviews that talk about how “well researched” this podcast is. There are frequent references to Wikipedia and often the hosts state, “I don’t know, I was hoping you wouldn’t ask me that (giggle).” For me, I’m okay with less research as long as the podcasts is coherent and flows with the storytelling narrative on the facts of the case. Unfortunately, the hosts digress frequently into unrelated personal anecdotes and ‘funny’ commentary that makes them giggle and disrupts the story. Sometimes there are 10 minutes or more at the beginning of the podcast of random chatting. I subscribed for true crime and so the unrelated personal chatter on such a large scale simply does not interest me. The worst I found was the Nightstalker Part Two episode that didn’t even start until almost 22 minutes in. When one is bingeing the episodes it just becomes frustrating.

The hosts had serious sound issues that were getting better by episode 21, but by then I had had enough and decided to unsubscribe. The first episodes had volume variances between the hosts; one was loud and the other soft. Later the volume was inconsistent between episodes. It’s nice when a podcast gets it figured out so the consumer is not having to constantly adjust the volume. It was getting better by episode 21 so I imagine that they have fixed that issue by now.

If you like a LOT of giggly, unrelated chatter and a meandering, moderately researched show on crime, then the Morbid podcast may just appeal to you.
