Love Unto Death (1984) w/ Madeline Burg
In this episode we welcome Madeline Burg, not only making her Movie Food debut, but her first ever appearance on any podcast, ever. (Spoiler Alert: She did quite well!)
Follow Madeline on Letterboxd @mgallantb
For our Apps, we get to know Madeline a little better and what’s behind her compulsion to review every movie she logs on Letterboxd, her Top 4 Directors (of that current moment), defining 'Lynchy', and a little digression into Duolingo…
For the Main Course (1:09:30), we dive into Alain Resnais’ heady, philosophical Love Unto Death (L'amour à mort), and try to come to grips with what it all could mean.
Then we finish off with Is 'This A Keeper?' and our Wine Pairings (2:29:00).

Simply fun movie podcasting
Carlo and Steve are cool guys 🫡
An Interesting & engaging podcast about film
Carlo & Steve the two hosts for the podcast are a good pair & play off each other very well. There is just enough difference between them to make this work & not just another boring podcast. I’ve loved Carlo on other podcasts he’s guested on & think he has a unique perspective on film & life. This was my first introduction to Steve but he’s very likable too & both are not too far from my age so their experiences & stories about the subject films are relatable. I’m defiantly in for the long haul & it well worth your time to listen.
Clue!!!
Love Clue. Woooooo!
