Really smartly written!
I love these bite sized reviews that are thoughtful, well written and concise about the films. Really helpful for making a quick decision on a movie. The later episodes which are more conversational are great too - definitely worth checking out!
Exactly what a Movie Review should be!
Jacob has a succinct style, yet he still manages to give a comprehensive review and sprinkle in some humor. This show is truly enjoyable to listen to AND helps me make good decisions about how to spend my Movie Minutes.
18/04/01 Ready Player One. After listening to your review, I prepared myself by mentally recalling of the 'The Shining'. The twisted smiling image of Jack Nicholson, 'Here's Johnny!!'. You also need to recall the history of video gaming. (Centipede - all time favorite). Armed with this info, I found the review was 'spot on'. Yes ! Go enjoy your movie minutes with the sound advice of Mr. Jacob! Touche'
18/03/30 Listened to review to decide how to 'spend' my movie minutes. Based on the info, I am one of those who remember Tomb Raider long ago, and would be willing to go and see. But at least I know what to expect - old fashion heroic overplayed action !!! And that is worthy of my time. Thanks Mr. Jacob !!!
