Writer and author Krista Burton is on the pod to discuss the Wachowskis’ iconic lesbian neo-noir film, Bound! She also tells us all about her incredible new book, Moby Dyke: An Obsessive Quest To Track Down The Last Remaining Lesbian Bars In America, and her experiences traveling the country to write it! Now, for those who haven’t seen Bound, it stars Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly as Corky and Violet, an ex-con and gangster girlfriend respectively, who scheme together steal millions of stashed mob money. The costumes are by the Oscar-winner Lizzy Gardiner (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Mission Impossible II, Ticket to Paradise), and while there aren’t a ton of looks, they looked DAMN GOOD. We also talk about the legendary Chanel Vamp nail polish, murder robes, Krista playing the jaw harp as a child, and how we’re going to hold a lock-picking party in honor of Corky.
