Lee reads a chapter originally written for his new book 'Conspiracies Uncovered' which tracks the genesis and development of the 'Pizzagate' conspiracy theory from its beginnings in DNC emails released by Wikileaks and the sexual transgressions of Anthony Weiner and Jeffrey Epstein to the misguided child rescue mission of armed vigilante Edgar Maddison Welch.

Such a hard call

I chose the 4stars over the 3stars bc no one does more on forensic psychology that I’ve ever found.
I truly appreciate and enjoy the academic angle Lee brings to the table. In fact, this is probably the podcasts that I feel dives into the forensic psychology more deeply than any other I’ve listened to. I LOVE the Academy episodes, love! Thank you!
Unfortunately, so many of the ‘Dive’ episodes, even if they’re supposed to be a relaxed conversation, go NOWHERE.
I feel Lee is a much better lecturer than interviewer. Part of that seems that Lee likes to be in charge of the conversation. He’s knowledgeable and I appreciate his insight, but unfortunately he tends to lean into arrogance.
Not only does that make his academic conclusions harder to blindly accept, but it makes the conversations with who I feel are strong guests harder to listen to. I WANT to hear their stories, but Lee seems to want control the room.
Lee in lecture mode feels far more factual and educational; during the Dive Bar episodes he seems much more ‘bro dude’ and unable to actually emphasize with anyone outside of his experience. Plus with the few Dive episodes I actually get through they’re not very good at keeping the conversation on topic in any way.
Anyway, I strongly recommend the podcast in parts, but I’ve found it very hit or miss. And while I admit I’m still working my way through the back catalogue, I unfortunately don’t feel Vanessa helps much when she is pulled into the conversations. Her questions are deeply elementary and don’t help expound on the overall topic.
I’m sorry if a lot of this seems negative. I’m deeply interested in the psychology of crimes, so I will continue to look for that in the show and very much enjoy certain episodes. It’s very good in parts which only makes the others more frustrating.

Your interview with Victor Malarek was the best I have ever heard, and I listen to a lot of podcasts! It was straightforward, unapologetic and truly an unheard voice of our time. Thank you for not shying away from the hard topics, I am better because I have listened.
