LADIES!

Hi Tanya and Carrie! (My name is Carrie, too!) I’m listening to episode 35 right now. I present ukulele to my 2nd graders during the last few classes of the year. They learn the very basics at this time. In third grade I prefer to use ukulele in place of the recorder. (CONTROVERSY!) my students are able to create melodic compositions, to read and play. Then we transfer the melodies to the barred instruments. By the end of third grade they are able to play several melodies. By fourth grade we get into chords and chord progressions.

Keep doing what you’re doing! I am @uh_unicorns_rock on Instagram and love following you there too!

Super informative and fun

Thanks ladies for this wonderful resource. I am a veteran teacher of 16 years but I get so much from hearing how you teach. Both of you are excellent teachers. I really appreciate your time and willingness to be so helpful to others. Being a music teacher can be lonely. I am happy to listen to your teacher talk because I’m right there with you!

Wonderful duo

I get so excited whenever Tanya & Carrie release a new episode. I feel like I need to get the Musc Teacher Coffee Talk apparel to prove my excitement, haha! They do a great job at playing off of each other's passion for music and I am constantly nodding my head at their comments. Also, they're both very reachable. On several occasions I've been able to contact the celebrities and get a quick response.
