Oakland based Brad Brooks has a new album, God Save the City, that looks back at his recent experience surviving throat cancer.  Brad talks with Heath about the songs that were recorded before treatment and how they differ from those post-treatment, plus why he's not afraid to get political in his music, and how he approaches songwriting.
