The life of a pageant child. Always having to smile, look good, and winning is the name of the game. That’s a lot of pressure for a young girl that’s also trying to figure out who she is, who she wants to be, and this thing called life. Being young can be fun, but it can also be uncertain and confusing.
Rachel Stacy. The same beauty she possesses today is the same external beauty she’s always had. Bright eyed, energetic, easy on the eyes. Not only was she winning pageants, but this woman had a voice and could play the fiddle like nobody’s business. With all the fame, growing up in the spotlight, the pressure of constantly performing, it’s not a surprise that Rachel questioned her identity along the way.

Who was Rachel Stacy? Did it matter? As long as she pleased everyone else, that’s what really mattered, right?

Hollywood is where so many dreamers go, but Hollywood isn’t always as glamorous as what you see on TV. Rachel made her way to Hollywood to live out her true dream; to be a singer and show the world what this budding fiddle player was made of!

Sun Tzu says, “Know yourself and you will win all battles.” But what happens when you don’t know who you are, how to just be, and you constantly feel like you’re pleasing everyone else and showing them what they want to see?

Fake. That was the word she used to describe herself. Rachel was fake. Not because she wanted to be, but because she didn’t know who she was. When you don’t know who you are then you become a chameleon to what you think the world wants to see.

Rachel found a solution to numb the uneasiness of not knowing herself: cocaine and alcohol. It seemed harmless, so many others were doing it. This was Hollywood, this is how the game was played. Shove your problems under a pile of cocaine and keep that pretty head up and let people see you shine. Rachel felt more at ease with herself when she would drink and drug and she finally had people she felt comfortable around (even though she admits she was still being fake).
