It’s awesome! The best part is that Elle is an Otaku, unlike most of the grownups I’m around. In the podcast deathnote and parasite was mentioned, and it’s nice to hear fanfiction written by a fellow Otaku, even if it’s not about anime/manga/vid games. I enjoy the story, the twists and turns and all the drama. My favorite character in the story has got to be….the Officer Smith guy, or heroine Elle. But this is one of the best podcasts, ever!

Usually I struggle with “making fun of bad fanfiction” content because there’s always the chance the writer will find it/people from the audience will find the writer and feelings will get hurt, but this style? Making fun of your own fic? Excellent. Love the dramatic readings, love the variety of guest hosts, love the good balance between focus on the fic and discussion of other things, and love that it has all the hallmarks of the kinds of things I read and wrote as a preteen- self-inserts/friend-inserts, pointless drama going nowhere, incredibly dark undertones, a complete lack of understanding of things like geography, time, money, sex, and alcohol, and, most of all, inexplicable popularity in the fandom. I’ve just been binging the entire show all week, and I can’t wait to see how story-Elle’s misadventures end.
