Conversation with Myrto Legaki
Myrto is the Founder of One Breath Mindful Living Center, teaching practices that aim to cultivate awareness, resilience and wellbeing for adults, children and organizations. She is a certified Mindfulness & MBSR instructor from UMASS and an Open Floor moving meditation instructor with an international background in Marketing & Consulting and a passion for teaching actionable, science backed methods for stress reduction, clarity and wellbeing on every level in order to lead a life of powerful purpose.
With a degree in Corporate Finance and an MBA from Boston University, transitioning from the corporate world after 15 years working as a consultant and marketing director in fast paced organizations in New York, London, Athens she now teaches the practices that helped her recover from a particularly stressful period into leading a life of powerful purpose.
With her work at One Breath Mindful Living Center, she has helped hundreds of participants, both individually and in companies of various sizes and industries experience the effective practices of mindfulness and conscious movement and learn ways to reduce stress, boost creativity and connection. She combines her corporate world knowledge, her intuition as a parent and her love of movement, with her deep personal practice and rigorous international professional training to make an impact and catalyze compassionate change for the greater good in every setting she teaches.
She has participated at the Panhellenic Child Psychiatry conference with her mindfulness for children work and the European Conference for Body Psychotherapy with her work in conscious movement.
Myrto is a TEDx speaker and has been featured in international and local press including Thrive Global, GYNAIKA, Love Yourself Kathimerini Magazine, Votre Beauté, Athinorama among others. Her center's clients include Piraeus Bank, Google, Mastercard, Roche, Darphin, Quest Holdings, Holmes Place, DHL as well as NGOs and educational organizations.
She nurtures a daily meditation practice since 2010 and continues studying with important teachers across the world, fascinated with what it is that makes us human. She loves spending time with her family in nature, dancing, traveling and meeting the stillness in silent retreats.
