SVEN ERLANDSON| Is Being Vulnerable Unattractive to Women?

SVEN ERLANDSON| Is Being Vulnerable Unattractive to Women?

Boys grow into men relating emotionally the only way they know, which is to dismiss or disapprove of their feelings or both.
But  what if more men could harness the power of vulnerability to ask for what you need or express your emotions without fear of rejection?
I believe Vulnerability is one of the most powerful aspects of human relationships because it enhances love, empathy, and acceptance.
I was thrilled to have Sven the founder of Badass Counseling on the podcast.
Let me tell you a little about Sven.
Very few spiritual leaders have lived a life so unusual as Sven Erlandson. He has experienced what most counselors and leaders only read about in books. Yet, it is precisely this odd life — this incredible dash to live fully,  learn all the wisdom the universe has to offer, and then give his life in service of others — that makes Sven such a brilliant, insightful, funny, and powerful speaker, writer, and spiritual counselor. He has been to hell and found his way out to find true and lasting peace, power, purpose, fulfillment, happiness.....and the enduring passion to help others find the same!
Listen in to this episode as Sven  from Badass Counseling and I dove deeper into this topic.

It’s a game changer.

But seriously, our lifestyles are affecting our own sexual relationship with ourselves and our partners.

I get it,  with life’s expectations, it’s easy to prioritize everything else and overlook prioritizing time to get yourself interested in the idea of sex every day.

Ugh, it’s overwhelming to even know where to start? I’ve been there.

I’ll share my new find with you…so you can jumpstart your libido now, without having to set aside“more” time to get in the mood.

As I talked with Andreas, Didrik, and, Giacomo (the founders of Bido), they shared how and why they  created Bido. Which was very intriguing!

Listen in now as they shared the story behind the magic in this little bottle!

BTW…. Bido didn’t leave out the men. They started with the formula for him first. Bido helps men

    🍆Reduce stress & anxiety

    🍆Balance hormone levels

    🍆Improve mood

    🍆Immunity & anti-inflammatory properties

Bido has two formulas, one for him and one for her.

Whether it’s stress, fatigue or relationship problems, sometimes it’s just not working in the bedroom. bido addresses libido issues from three main angles, providing a holistic solution

Mark Santiago | Should You Stay Married For The Kids?

Mark Santiago | Should You Stay Married For The Kids?

Divorce isn’t the tragedy the tragedy is staying in an unhappy marriage…
Just because a child gets older does not mean that they are better equipped to handle a divorce. It will hurt them whether they are 5 or 25.
What your children are dying to see is two people committed to working on their marriage rather than living a life in a toxic or loveless marriage.
The biggest problem with kids who grow up seeing a toxic marriage or a loveless relationship, is they become the kids who believe that codependency or violence is a normal part of a relationship.
By staying for the kids you’re teaching your children a pattern that is hard to break.
The hard truth is that there’s no right answer in the situation.
My best advice is to try your hardest to make the marriage work and if nothing changes then you have a tough decision to make.
Listen in as Mark Santiago and I discuss the topic of staying married, separating, or getting divorced.

Larry Hagner | The Modern Day "Sex Talk"

Larry Hagner | The Modern Day "Sex Talk"

“Sex is bad, sex is dirty, and you should only have it with someone you are married to” is the conversation that addresses the “sex talk” with your kids out of fear and shame!
It breeds shame in our kids and they learn to feel guilt and shame.
If they are taught to feel guilt and shame, they’ll eventually get into relationships or marriages filled with shame, guilt, and secrecy around sex because that's what they have been taught.
During this podcast Larry @thedadedge and I, are in no way saying that you should "throw caution to the wind", but we are saying that you should openly talk to your kids from a place of respect, curiosity, clarity, understanding, beauty, and wonder.
We encourage you to talk to your kids about protecting their sexual boundaries, good decision-making, and consent.
Remember: There's no perfect way for a parent to have this conversation but if you can allow integrity and authenticity to lead the conversation it will make the “sex talk” more comfortable.
Imagine how marriages would change if we empowered the next generation to understand and accept their bodies, pleasure, and how to use discernment.
The best and most vital part of this approach allows your child to know that they can come to you, their own parents when they need you most.

Stepping Up!

Hosting a platform for experts to come on and share their wealth of knowledge with your audience is such a value add. There isn’t enough available information about the REAL truths of living a happy, healthy, stimulating, mindful lifestyle. I appreciate anyone that takes the time to share with others in a positive way. Each one, teach one!

Dumbed down advice

So first of all, every episode she relies on a guest to carry the show. She has no content of her own creation probably because it’s obvious she has no expert advice to give. Her guests have exponentially more emotional intelligence than she does. Listening to her interview and interact with her guests (who are legit, unlike her), quite clearly outsmart her on the topic of relationships, is comical. She is not even close to on par with any knowledge of any kind to give advice to her audience. It’s painful listening to her ask unintelligent questions and equally shallow banter as she tries to engage in dialogue with her guests. Even they seem unimpressed with her line of questions. She is seriously lacking the depth to engage the nature of this topic fully. Relationship advice requires true introspection, something the host seems incapable of the more I listened to her talk. I decided to look at the links to her social media accounts. I’m actually quite horrified to discover the narrow minded advice she dispenses to her audience. She subscribes to a level of toxic masculinity that blows my mind. You can hear it in her responses on some of these podcasts but on her instagram and TikTok, it’s flat out disturbing. She plainly negates the importance of perspective between two people in a relationship. She believes the woman should submit to men at all costs. Women are the problem and why men leave. Just give them sex and make him happy. That’s her message. It’s laughable, it’s a male fantasy and she’s selling it. That is dangerous territory. When you can’t bridge the gap of reality, there’s a level of responsibility you need to bear and should be considered. Lack of intimacy is a symptom of a greater problem between 2 people. Hearing her 2D oppressed view on complicated topics in marriage is reckless and irresponsible of her to parrot. People need to grow through conflict something she fails to observe as dual in nature. Beyond this, and even more alarming was on her TikTok page. She’s sexualizing her relationship with her own daughter. Sexually exploiting her own child is next level disgusting to me. Posting sexually suggestive images in lingerie with her daughter, even going so far as to touching her daughters’ breast in a TikTok video, was genuinely disturbing. What’s the message in that exactly? Desperately seeking attention is unattractive. Nobody should be taking advice from a woman who thinks this is normal behavior for a mother. There’s a medical term for this. It’s called MDSA. Please look it up. Get an OF page instead. Don’t pretend to be helping anyone through this maladapted advice. She is reinforcing toxic masculinity to a predominantly male audience. Sexually exploiting her daughter though….her daughter will need therapy to overcome her own mothers behaviors. Competing for attention with your child is a whole other animal, may I suggest you listening to a podcast on narcissism from an actual LFMT? Always check the source of who you’re listening to and consider the quality of the content your listening to. Marriage is a serious topic and not to be taken lightly. Since when is a hairstylist qualified to give relationship advice anyway?
