As Nora's life had a series of unfortunate events, her new partner was around to play savior, even though many cracks were showing in his facade. He was an expert at weaponized incompetence, forcing Nora to do all the housework, which eventually turned into gaslighting, breaking her things, infidelity, and sexual assault.

    In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Paris tells her story of marrying a victim-playing abuser. At first, Paris was love-bombed in a way that set her heart on fire. It was intoxicating and overrode all her other senses. From there, her future abusive husband began to play the victim in his life and use guilt to hook Paris in for good. It was a whirlwind that was hard to break free from, and before she knew it, as soon as they were married, the abuse and devaluation began.

    In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Debra tells her story of being the family scapegoat for 50 years. Following a horrific three-year period, in which Debra discovered that her teenage daughter had been sexually assaulted by her nephew (the only son of Debra's golden child turned narcissist twin brother), Debra broke up with her family after enduring decades of emotional/psychological abuse, which in Debra's childhood was also punctuated by physical abuse.
    It's a story of intergenerational trauma, scapegoats, gaslighting, the golden child, competition, physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual assault, bullying, control, cruelty, epiphanies, rationalizations, the need for approval, being good enough, resilience, courage, putdowns, and manipulation.
