We should be mindful that our words have power: the power to tear down or build up, the power to inspire or lead others astray, the power to purify or poison someone’s reputation, and the power to positively or negatively affect our personal ministry & fellowship with Christ. It is common for us to experience moments of displeasure and irritation in our interpersonal relationships. Although God never promised us a life devoid of negative experiences, how we speak about people can be the difference between honoring and dishonoring Christ, ourselves and others. Frustration is not a sin and neither is expression, however both can lead to unwholesome and ungodly speech. Are you simply frustrated or are you judging your neighbor?
