"I want the truth!"
"You can’t handle the truth!"
So goes the famous exchange in Aaron Sorkin’s play A Few Good Men. But "speaking truth to stupid" is also a major theme of the writer’s new HBO television series, The Newsroom. Will this show have the staying power of Sorkin’s past television outings, or is it a creative dead end?
Tune in every week as Andrew and Andrew analyze each episode of the season. They’ll recap each episode, give their general thoughts (wherever that may lead) and discuss the show’s major themes. Forget Cronkite and Murrow. We’ve got it covered.

She is incredibly difficult to listen to, and her contribution isn't interesting enough to offset having to hear her say "like" over and over like she's twelve.

Best Newsroom podcast I've listened to

I am a little late to the Newsroom party but as I was watching I wanted a podcast to listen to as I worked my way through the show. I started listening to another Newsroom podcast done by people who whilst they make decent podcasts, they aren't in depth reviews. I was delighted to find this podcast. They can be a little critical of the show at times but I'd much rather have that than fanboys. I feel like throughout that criticism though that you still get the feeling that they overall enjoy the show.

I think the criticism of the podcast stems from the negativity of some of the guests. A couple of them seem to be hatewatching this show and are not shy about that fact.

Not that it matters. Film Geek Radio seems to have disappeared as all of their shows have no recent episodes.

One final note: If you're only going to listen to a single episode, I recommend the one towards the end of their Newsroom run that has Joanna Robinson as a guest host. She is absolutely delightful. Which isn't all that surprising. She adds so much to whatever podcast she's on. Regardless of if she's a host, guest host or making a guest appearance.

Zero stars

The only episode-by-episode breakdown I've found, and it's done by two uninformed and unfunny people who bring on equally fatuous friends with no opinion of their own.
