Bike Registration That Works NBDA: Bicycle Retail Radio

    • Entrepreneurship

This episode’s guest is Bryan Hance, co-founder of Bike Index, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a universal bike registration service. Their database is used and searched by individuals, bike shops, law enforcement, and other apps giving everyone the ability to register and recover bicycles.
Bryan created StolenBicycleRegistry.com in 2004 because he had way too many bikes stolen - and he realized chasing and recovering stolen bikes was really fun. He works in cyber security and applies OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) methods and processes to chasing bike thieves.
This episode is hosted by guest host Sheri Rosenbaum, columnist and blogger at Sunflower and Pedals. Sheri will be chatting with Bryan on the hot topic of bike shop break-ins and thefts, why shops are being targeted, how they discovered stolen bikes in Mexico, and other timely issues.
