The corporate press, whose depravity and malfeasance is utterly boundless, has assured us that Biden's pick for Secretary of Defense is a monumental achievement in the advancement of racial equality, effectively distracting you from the fact that, while Lloyd Austin is indeed black, he is a sitting member on the board of Raytheon, one of the largest military contractors in existence. Does Austin's skin color negate the glaring conflict of interest at play here, or is the war machine continuing to chug along as strong as ever?

Washington D.C. is a cesspool filled to the brim with bloodthirsty, maniacal warhawks who seem to enjoy nothing more than sending your brothers and cousins and sons into foreign lands that have nothing to do with us, disguising their financial and power-hungry motives with the veil of patriotism. Still not convinced? Worry not; I've got receipts.

After a wave of new listeners, I thought I would better explain the overarching purpose of this podcast and why it is that fundamentally decent people can exist outside the "acceptable" range of political identities. Also, the CIA has caused more havoc in this world than ISIS, Al-Quaeda, and Kim Jung Un combined. If your unwavering patriotism robs you of an ability to see things objectively and be honest about your beloved country's atrocities, then I cannot stress this enough: Buzz. Off. 

Contrary to popular belief, being a liberal is not a prerequisite for being a good person. Results will always trump intent. If your way of doing things turns out to cause hyperinflation, crush the job market, and diminish the quality of life Americans now enjoy, you don't get special bonus points just because your voting plan came from a place of genuine benevolence. The same goes for conservatives. Perhaps the person voting opposite you truly believes their way of thinking is better for the neediest of society. Perhaps they have some insight that you haven't considered. Perhaps calling them a racist, homophobic prick who hates poor people solely because they do not subscribe to your precise vision of the world is counterproductive. Maybe try considering another's perspective before casting aspersions upon their character.
