Insight, Passion, and Laughs

If you’re reading this review, the short version is: this podcast is fantastic and you should check it out if you’re even slightly interested in it.

Now here’s the longer, more personal review for those wanting more info:

Like many others, I was first introduced to this podcast from Ed’s appearances on Screen Junkies. I’ve held off doing a review for awhile because I wanted to listen to almost every episode in order to provide some different insight in my review. It’s been fascinating working through the catalog of nerd goat pods and seeing just how much it’s evolved over the past 3 years. Things like how the intro developed, hearing about a Patreon being in the works to now hearing it plugged before each episode, onedarntshirt.com (R.I.P.), and how the show got elevated by the inclusion of Producer Bill. Some of hilarious quotes from the show are “that is a biopic for yo ASS” from Ed on The Monkees episode, and “I used to camp a lot, or as I like to call it, being homeless” from Ron on the Tarzan episode. Also, listening to some of the earlier “echo chamber” pods have prepared me for some of the lacking quarantine Audio with the current episodes. This podcast has become better and better with each episode and it’s now part of my daily routine. For the first time ever, I utilized my phone’s podcast app so I can have easy access to this podcast. Also another first for me is that finally, after hearing the many... many plugs for their Patreon, I am now a proud $7 tier member of Nerd Goat Patreon. I’m looking forward to diving into another catalog of exclusive pods, especially Producer Bill’s extended Superman talk. Keep up the great work guys! You have another dedicated fan in your ranks. Also I was wondering about a couple things. Back when the pod was building up, you said when you hit 50 reviews you’d do a people’s choice G.O.A.T. I’m not aware if you ended up doing that or not? Also, after the many episodes that he was mentioned in, I’m surprised you guys haven’t done a BLADE G.O.A.T. Episode. Take care guys! Stay safe, and to those still reading this review GO LISTEN TO THE PODCAST!

Podcast G.O.A.T

This absolutely my favorite podcast. I look forward to it every Monday morning. Digging deep into the psychology of these characters, their creators, the guests and the hosts is always enjoyable. The hosts (and producer) have such a natural style that I often forget I’m not just chatting with friends and I try to jump into the conversation. Keep up the great work!!!

“The more words you know, the more feelings you can feel.” - Ed Greer

If prospective listeners actually read these, please note...

1. This is a FANTASIC Podcast where somebody comes in and talks with 3 hosts about their favorite fictional characters from Comic Books, Book Books, Movies, TV Shows, Videogames, and so on... Please listen to it. Even characters that you don’t like, or don’t know, still make VERY fun topics, often even better than episodes on greater known and loved characters... And Watch ‘Reboot It’ on a video tube service made for you. Same Guys, just as Great.

2. I am writing this review TO the creators, addressing them directly, hoping to be read on-show. Please feel free to read if you like.

I became a really big fan of Ed Greer from his guest spots on online movie shows. Honestly, as someone who doesn’t Sport or watch Sportsing, I wasn’t familiar with the Acronym GOAT (Greatest Of All Time), and I don’t THINK Ed explained that in his initial promotion of the Nerd GOAT Podcast.

Eventually it was explained, I subscribed, and I have been hooked ever since. Ed, Ron, and Bill, you have perfect Chemistry. My absolute favorite moments are when all three of you are on the show w equal time/presence. Once Producer Bill came on board, and became a third host more or less, you hit a new plateau. I think that’s the only reason ‘Reboot It’ tops Nerd GOAT for me, is that the three of you are always in every episode (with the WONDERFUL Billy Business, of course) equally.

Now that I am caught up on all the free eps, I am ecstatic to say I am now a proud Patreon Subscriber, and writing this as fast as I can so I get jump in to those BONUS EPISODES!

I feel like I could go on and on, so I will end saying Thank You Bill, Thank You Ron, Thank You Ed, for making my favorite podcast and favorite online show.

PS - If you know anyone who watches them, I highly recommend doing an Episode/Bonus Episode on Steven Universe. It takes a few episodes to realize it, but it is a Deep, Intricate, Subversive, Mind Expanding show about learning the feelings you feel, why you feel them, and how to deal with them, in 11 minutes an episode. It is in my top 3 favorite/best shows ever, along with Game of Thrones, and Star Trek The Next Generation, because it is on THAT level...
