This course examines the process and procedures for ensuring the security of a network and the integrity of data. By examining the various security threats to a network such as virus attacks, hacking, interception of data, eavesdropping, etc.; the course provides the means and procedures to design a secure network, monitor and intercept attacks, and respond to active and passive security threats. Both physical and logical security are covered.
this course is a great introduction for someone who is unfamiliar with network security.
The background noise in the recordings is distracting...... there is a constant background hum and in a lecture there was an opera playing in the background.....
Wrong person for a podcast
Great class but very hard to listen to. The Professor sounds like Woody Allen
Great intro class to a vast topic
Dr Stafford does a great job presenting an overview of network security. As he says, it is a "vast topic" but he covers it all well. This would be a great supplement to someone prepping for the CISSP exam. My southern US ears find the NY/NJ accent a little tough to take, but it is worth the pain.
