Next Year in Moscow

Arkady Ostrovsky travels across Europe and the Middle East speaking to free-thinking Russians who left when the shelling of Ukraine began in 2022 in this eight-part series. For them the war meant the future of Russia itself was now in doubt. Now they have to rebuild their lives and their hopes for Russia from exile. Can they get their country back? Their stories help solve the mystery of why this senseless war began – and how it might end. This is easily one of the best limited series podcasts I’ve listened to. Even though it’s now been a few years since it first dropped, I still think about how wonderful and bleeping poignant it was. I’d love a follow up!
Touching, real and accountable

I sent Arkady an email because I have been so deeply touched by this podcast. Russia has been a part of my live now for decades and this podcast helped me integrate things about the culture, the system, the incomprehensible at times choices that people make in a way that helped me understand. It’s masterful in its simplicity yet depth. I’m grateful for it. Спасибо большое!

Episode 1 is like it really happened , I really appreciate. I am from Ukraine and I was at that time there, really scary. At that time the world was devided into those who support killing innocent people and to those who doesn’t care. I really appreciate for your podcast 💕💕❤️❤️❤️
