Nile Rodgers of Chic Hardcore Humanism with Dr. Mike

Nile Rodgers is a songwriter, producer, musician and a founding member of the band Chic. Nile has been a writer, musician or producer on countless hit records, including not only Chic’s hits such as "Le Freak," but also Sister Sledge’s "We Are Family," David Bowie’s "Let’s Dance," Madonna’s "Like a Virgin," and Daft Punk’s "Get Lucky." He’s been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame and is a three time Grammy winner. Nile is also a lifelong activist – he was a member of the Black Panther Party in New York, and is co-founder of the We Are Family Foundation (https://www.wearefamilyfoundation.org) an organization committed to fighting systemic racism and injustice. 
So what we’re going to talk about today is Nile’s approach to his life and work and specifically about how his Utopian sense of love and connection has driven his activism and music throughout his life.
