Timothy Beal - Finding Hope at the End of the World

Faced with multiple existential threats in the coming decades, professor of religion Timothy Beal reflects on the possibility of human extinction and what hope might look like within that context. Through insights from indigenous spirituality and palliative care principles, he explores how communities can confront grief, engage in meaningful action, and rediscover their earthly connection in the face of an uncertain future.
Following the interview Tim and Nick discuss their growing concerns about the state of the world, how that’s impacting them emotionally, and how they understand hope.
    Interview starts at 18m 24s

Rachel Held Evans - kicking off 2024

Such a great interview. I have her book Inspired and was devastated when she died. For years I’ve asked why? And even said come on God! Your questions to Rachel reflected many of my own and even though I still struggle it was encouraging to listen to yours. Thank you.

Enjoyed the interview….

…but really LOVED what Anna and Tim had to say afterwards. Thank you! P.S. Paul Young is another example of someone who wrote his thoughts/ideas to share solely with his family and it turned out to be a blessing for so many.

I love Nomad Podcast so much

The hosts don’t know this but they became my first community after I had to painfully separate from the church three years ago to repair after trauma. Thanks so much Tim, Anna, Nick, Jemimah, David, Joy and everyone else. Also, I love when Nick and Tim laugh together…I feel as though I’m there in the room with them 💗
Cheers 🥂 and hope to meet you someday in person 😊🙆🏽‍♀️
