My identity was how fast I could run. My identity was how well I could run those routes and how great I could catch the ball. And I was a receiver, in college. And so when that was taken away from me, you know, I went into a tailspin. And when the doctor gave me a life sentence of never living life. You know, out of a wheelchair again, it, uh, it devastated

    15:00

Exercise in my mind, I could, I was exercising, I was doing leg extensions, leg squats, leg presses, and leg curls and even watching myself walk down the road and some of the heaviest liftings I've ever done is in between my ears and that's, and that's, you know, going back to the very, very beginning. I come rolling out on stage and I address the elephant in the room about how good-looking I am.

    18:00

I made it to the door and it took me 30 minutes to get there and I turned around to my grandmother. I'm like, help. And she's like, I'm in a lazy boy. Can't help you. So I had to come back to her to get to my wheelchair. Um, it, that took me an hour to get back. So round trip was an hour and a half just to go 20 feet.

Giving People The Chance To Be In A Community With Dr. Christine Zapata.

8:00- I will host community cocktails and I'll get approached by someone who is attending their 1st one and they'll. Often say thank you so much for hosting this. I've been really trying to figure out a way that I can actually meet people because I'm working remotely. I don't get actually to hang out with my coworkers.

20:00-, I will host community cocktails and get approached by someone who is attending their 1st one and they'll. Often say thank you so much for hosting this. I've been really trying to figure out a way that I can actually meet people because I'm working remotely. I don't get actually to hang out with my coworkers.

A lot of people move to this area. They're moving here for work. And so as you get older, it gets a little bit more challenging to try to meet people and find your circle or your network of friends. And a lot of times people tell me that this is one way that they can actually meet people in a city that they're totally new to.

    ASHTIPTOE

27:00-And I think we got to a point where our dog was getting older and we just felt really bad leaving her at home and our friends started to have kids. And so our big group that would go on these touring trips ended up dwindling down to, I think, just me and Jeff and another buddy of ours. And while it's fun, um, Even if it's just the two of us, we really enjoy doing things like that.

    4:00

And I think it was just very clear to me that nobody's gonna offer or like do anything for me. Like I was the opposite of entitled. Like I knew that if I wanted to make something of myself like I had to put in the work, I had to find the opportunities. You know, as I got older, I was always the person that had like four and five different jobs, you know, just trying to make ends meet and get ahead and stuff like that.

    20:00

So yes, they're making money cuz there's equity in the home, but it was like, What did you spend all that money on? Like your mortgage should be gone, you know? So I think I was just surprised because it was kind of that example of the bad debt and you know, I think there are some people that can refinance or in my case like AZA HELOC for investing purposes, which is good debt because it's like income-producing debt.

    27:00

So I think you have to make sure, you gotta be super careful, like if you're using someone else's money like it's gonna be your reputation on the line if you don't deliver or if you lose it or something like that. Right. Yeah, absolutely. That would be, losing somebody else's money would not be good.

Like, okay. What is the fucking, I'm just curious now. Like, what is the job like Hey at, um, it's different for every level. So the entity, it depends on the entity. I mean, I was hiring across, I'm hiring across the board by the way. If anyone's interested in a job, lemme know. Um, there you go. Just like a little plug.

    21:00

Hey guys, welcome to none of your business podcasts, and today is Memorial Day and I just want to take a second to honor everyone who has served. Um, law enforcement into any branch in the military, firefighters, EMTs, anyone who has died to fight in the honor of this country and their families. So I just want to thank you.

    33:00

I feel you. I feel you. I think that, like for a guy I'll give, I'll give the gentleman listening with tidbit. Just be like a true gentleman. Like open the door, make the plan. There's nothing worse than going out with someone asking you out and be then being like, so what do you wanna do? I don't know. You asked me out.

Tell me, women, like as much as we like to, and this be empowered and make our own money and do all that, which everyone should, if that's there, you know, chosen prerogative. Um, I think it's nice when a guy has the courtesy to like, take the lead on a first d you know, and like pick the place and pick it out.

    39:00

I'm like, I love you. And they're like, well, you're f*****g weird. Fucking can't get the fuck outta here. And I'm like, what am I doing wrong? Uh, so lots of, lots and lots of working on myself and trying to find out what works and what doesn't work. And like, like I said, I'm recovering addict, an alcoholic.

And I said, people who are on apps are not always single facts. They're not always single. So you don't know what you're getting and you can get catfish and all this other stuff. But I think it's just having a level of confidence. Just go. Up to someone. I had someone approach me once in a crosswalk, like the light was turning green.

    54:00

Nice. And I nearly bit his head off because he like came up, it was like 10 o'clock at night in the crosswalk in Manhattan. Oh, well he's like, I was like, fair enough. Yeah. I'd rather meet somebody in person. Like yes. Yeah. That's just me. But I mean, I think that a compliment always works. Hmm. Like, hey, love your smile.

    5:00

And I still I feel really love animals and my dog has inspired me. But now I just I started to find the path of psychology in high school. I still remember my AP psychology teacher. She it was her passion, the way she taught psychology, the way she taught neurology, that just really drew me to it. And just it just came to me so naturally.

    10:00

So I worked with children of autism, and behavior therapy was pretty interesting. It was a great experience. I loved helping children in particular, and I liked the working with autism spectrum, but it was only restricted to that population of just autism. And when I had my little girl, we decided to move out to West Texas. So I moved out into the middle of nowhere.

    20:00

Self was like, oh my gosh, I found this cure. Let's make this relationship work. Like with granted I was hot in math and play somebody with BPD and math doesn't work as well. But I just like thought like this is going to be it. But it, it worked out and I'm glad that it didn't work out. I hope she's doing well.

    30:00

Everyone can enjoy the paradise with me. I don't know where that would be. I've always wanted to go to Fiji or New Zealand or I don't know, I've been to Hawaii. That was pretty, pretty amazing. It's somewhere where like the huts are on the water, like on the ocean. You have to go on those docks and.
