My Drop Everything, Essential-Listening Podcast

If you've ever wondered what a reality-based, egoistic moral framework would be like in practice, this is the show for you.

Dr. Hsieh gives insightful answers to complex (and sometimes seemingly simple) philosophical and real-world problems, and excels at articulating the reasoning behind her conclusions. Even when she's answering a question that doesn't directly pertain to my life, I still find myself learning something new about *how* to think and *how* to approach challenging issues.

Most importantly, Philosophy in Action is a lot of fun! Dr. Hsieh clearly loves doing the show, and her enthusiasm for the show topics is infectious. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone with a commitment to reason and an interest in living a happy, fulfilled life.

Pleasant and thought provoking

I love the spunk and variety in each show! It's all about trying to figure out the best response to complicated situations based on a bringing a rational approach to the given context. Diana and Greg work well together to give the show a very approachable feel. The problems and philosophy may be challenging, but they make it understandable and fun. I'm almost always smiling when I click play :)

How to think about moral questions

What I like most about Dr. Hsieh's podcasts is that she doesn't just state her conclusion in answer to a question, but generally takes you through her reasoning in arriving at that conclusion. This is especially valuable in that she's not just telling you what to do in particular ethical situations, but showing you how to think about moral questions. I usually find myself in agreement with her, but even when I don't she sometimes manages to change my mind. Great stuff!
