Welcome to Not Your Mom’s Review Show! We’re a podcast that drinks and knows things (is that trademarked? I don’t know…). Join us for tons of fun as we bring you knowledge about your favorite cheesy movies!
Do you enjoy the soul-crushing realities of modern warfare? Do you enjoy seeing grown men spiral downward? Do you appreciate the simple beauty of sheep-skin jackets? Then join us for Rambo!
Pride & Prejudice
Nikki and Sher give you a recap of their Corona angst, and then dive into the World's Most Perfect Movie, also known as Pride & Prejudice (2005), directed by Joe Wright. We discuss the virtues and drawbacks of the Byronic Hero, discuss the sequence of events from Mr. Darcy's point of view, and swoon repeatedly. Join us!
George of the Jungle 2
Join us for a rundown of this harrowed sequel (and sequels in general) as we discuss what went wrong, and recount some of our favorite sequels.
50 Shades of Grey
I don't know why we decided to do this to ourselves, but you can come along for the ride if you want. We're joined by a special guest, our friend Jasmine!
*recorded prior to quarantine*
It's Nikki's favorite movie! The one she falls asleep to! The soothing space sounds of terror and screaming!
Ernest Goes to Camp
Come dive into Sher's childhood, learn about historical atrocities against Native Americans and subsequent "benign" racism, and discover the errant golf cart!
PLEASE COME BACK!!!
When I saw the hiatus update, I knew I had to get on here and do everything I could to ensure Cher and Nikki return. I’ve been listening to this podcast for a couple years now, and I don’t know how to adequately explain what exactly it means to me. This show really comforted me during my senior year and transition to college. For whatever reason, listening to mildly tipsy people critique films and series is one of my favorite things, and I look forward to every update. While this could be interpreted as a sign of my inner spirit animal being a 30 something wine mom, I truly feel it is more reflective of the true genius of this show, and it’s ability to connect with a broad audience. So much love and research is put into each episode, and these ladies are born entertainers. If you haven’t given this podcast a listen, I highly recommend!!!
It makes sucky things better!
One of my favorites. I listen to it when I'm cleaning the oven, driving in traffic, or waxing my legs. Nothing makes the painful less painful than listening to Nikki and Sher!
