Update 2/25: the 5 min no longer holds true. I’ve been listening since part way through year 1. Now it takes less than a minute. I take two breaths, hear a few words or even sentences. I’m out. The timer makes it easy to have some more ready if I wake up during the night. I don’t know why this is magic, but it is. I’m a lifelong sleep deprived person. College, more college, then teaching high school with yet more college. I didn’t realize it until a many years later when I retired. By then I had no idea how to get into a regular, normal sleep routine that lasted more than 4 or 5 hours. I have tried listening to quite a few sleep-time podcasts and they all have good qualities. This one is my favorite though. I think I’m asleep within 5 min, and if I wake up during the night I back it up and listen again. I rarely have it stop before I'm asleep. One story can take me a week to get through. Each morning I figure out where I fell asleep in the story the night before and go again.

When my mom was going thru cancer and I was her caregiver, this show was my break away from all the stress and worry. You’re soothing voice and lovely stories let me talk a break and fall asleep or back asleep when I would wake up and worry. You made a difference for me. When mom’s time came to leave this earth, I held her hand and reminded her of a sweet time memory from our life together.
