This week, we’re reflecting on the tight elections from last week, and looking forward to the large impacts the infrastructure bill promises to bring:

Election Day results left political strategists to digest what worked, what did not, and why. Results revealed the divergent dynamics between progressive and moderate Democrats, and on the Republican side, the delicate dance being played between adhering to Trump’s agenda versus appealing to moderates.

There was an underwhelming response to the recent passage of the infrastructure bill, and now pressure falls on Biden’s promised timeline. If effects are felt in the promised 2-3 months, public approval of democratic leaders will increase, but there is also the risk that, oftentimes, the biggest impacts are the hardest to take in.

Finally, our legal system is also facing an urgent deadline to ensure political impact. With 6 new subpoenas issued to Trump campaign staff and advisors involved in the insurrection, we’re watching to see if our systems put in place will react and act fast enough to make an impact.
