Hall of Famer Jim Boeheim is the former Head Coach of Syracuse University's men's basketball team and current Special Assistant to the Athletic Director at Syracuse. For 47 years, he was the Head Coach of the Orange who he led to 10 Big East Conference regular season championships, five Big East tournament championships and 34 NCAA tournament appearances — including five Final Four appearances. In 2003, his team beat Kansas with all-star Carmelo Anthony.

Brandon Copeland is a former NFL linebacker who was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2013, after playing college football at the University of Pennsylvania. He played across 6 teams for 10 seasons in the NFL, including the Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions, New York Jets, New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons.  Brandon joins Now It's Legal to discuss the importance of starting athletes.org with Jim with the goal to support college athletes in organizing them, empowering them and ultimately, amplifying their voice.

On this episode of Now It's Legal, we recap AO's visit to UAB's football team to discuss the future of college athletics and their impact on its future. UAB is now the first Division I football team to join the players' association with every member of the team signed up for Athletes.org. AO's Jim Cavale & UAB Head Football Coach Trent Dilfer  discussed the values (knowledge, access, protection) and benefits of the platform including legal advice, medical second opinions and mental health professionals.  

The movement was initiated by Head Coach Trent Dilfer who gathered the team and encouraged them to prepare for a future where they will be able to have a seat at the table, and negotiate for a larger share of revenue. Sean Clifford is a current QB for the NFL's Green Bay Packers and the former starting QB and team captain for the Penn State Nittany Lions. He completed his college career as Penn State's all-time leader in wins as a starting quarterback, as well as completion percentage, completions, passing yards, total yards, passing touchdowns and pass attempts. At the 2023 Rose Bowl, Sean's 88-yard touchdown pass became the longest passing touchdown in Rose Bowl game history.

Sedona Prince is a current basketball player for the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs in the Big 12 Conference. She previously played for the Oregon Ducks and the Texas Longhorns. In 2021, Sedona was named to the FIBA Women's AmeriCup roster, helping the USA to a 6-0 record and the gold medal.
