Madness & Mafia Romance: The Measha Stone Interview

Madness & Mafia Romance: The Measha Stone Interview

Measha Stone, USA Today Bestselling author of the Reluctant Brides and Mafia Brides series of dark, spicy Romances talks with Shane and Eris about book signing events and introversion, how much she hates the plotter approach to writing, and how surprisingly supportive the Romance writing community can be. Eris cackles maniacally about cliffhangers, and when candy corn underpants enter the conversation, Shane nearly has to safeword out.

We March on a Road of Bones: Writer's Block and Motivation

Come for talk about 'forcing it'; stay for a discussion of alphas and betas that's surprisingly NOT centered around omegaverse. Find out why Eris can't meditate, and why Shane has ZERO CHILL when it comes to side projects.

The Dark Side: Dark Romance and Why We Write It

The Dark Side: Dark Romance and Why We Write It

“It's just how you're wired, it's as simple as that.” — Shane Starrett
Shane and Eris discuss dark Romance and why we read and write it. What constitutes ‘dark Romance’ in relation to other Romance tropes and genres? Why the stigma around Romances with dark themes, and what effect does it have on readers and authors? What impact do book retailers have on the availability of these stories? Plus: The Great Trigger Warning Discussion. Eris will rant, but probably not about what you’d think!

Cover Yourself, Woman! Book cover design for indie authors - part 2

Cover Yourself, Woman! Book cover design for indie authors - part 2

EPISODE FOUR - part two of two for this episode

Join your hosts Eris and Shane as they talk about types of book covers—ebook and paperback—and how very, VERY important they are to the success of an author's book.
They'll discuss how to plan for creating a book cover, finding a cover artist you like and approaching them, the actual process of creating the cover, and then what to expect once the book launches, and beyond.
Podcast update: we can now also be found on Pandora for users of that service! 😁

NOTE: because of the importance of this subject to authors, this episode has been broken into two parts. It is highly suggested you start with part one and then move to part two in order. Also, as this discussion of book covers is very graphic intensive, for best effect it is suggested that you watch it in full on YouTube, especially after the 26:38 mark in the first episode.

This is part two of this two part episode.

Just perfect! Exactly what the romance community needs

This is exactly what the romance community needs, and I love that both of these authors are so well-spoken and interesting and funny. Can’t wait for more episodes and I’m so glad I saw this posted!
