EP9 The Imbalance Protest of the Mind
“Hypocrisy is the mother of all evil and prejudice is still her favorite child”
The lack of proportion or relation between the words and actions of significant persons experience through our years, builds up to the statements we blurt out or the actions we earnestly express of our disapproval and objections to the norm that we have come to know. The mind is a vast cognition of consciousness, imagination, perception, thinking, intelligence, judgement, language and memory, but at its core it is emotion and instinct that drive our very being....
EP8 The Change We Make Not
To often we say to each other I want to make money, I want our country to be great, I want our government to fix infrastructures and amenities. We find ourselves being critically acclaimed critics of all the wrongs that befall our society and all the wonders that our Neighbours have far and wide. We become covetous because we want what they have.
I would really love to hear about what small change you are making in your immediate society. The stories that we tell are the ones that have the opportunity to influence tomorrow and to be part of history. Drop me a mail at firstname.lastname@example.org today.
EP7 Before We Say We Do
The union of families through the bonding of marriage is one not to be taken kindly. It a move that can leave you broken for years to come. Nevertheless, we may not always get it right 1st 2nd 3rd or however many times one wishes to perform the union ceremony. But there are observations and deliberations that the unit undergoing union would need to address before the big day, hence the courting ritual observed all over the world.

EP6 Social Looking Glass
A person's self grows out of society's interpersonal interactions and the perceptions of others. This means that we develop ourselves through the judgments of others.
•First, we imagine how we must appear to others.
•Second, we imagine the judgment of that appearance.
•Finally, we develop our self through the judgments of others.
Digital media and the looking glass?....
EP5 Rock The Boat
In light of this month of May being mental health awareness month and most of us still in lockdown mode due to COVID-19, it seemed like a good opportunity to talk about a major and heart breaking social issue that bugs. Battered Person Syndrome or Battered Woman Syndrome, is a psychological condition that can develop when a person experiences physical or verbal abuse, usually at the hands of an intimate partner.
This form of abuse can affect people of any gender, age, social class, or education. People who find themselves in an abusive relationship often do not feel safe or happy. However, they may feel unable to leave for many reasons. These include fear and a belief that they are the cause of the abuse.
This form of abuse is described as a subtype of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
EP4 Death Becomes Us
Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one's own death. It means ending your own life. It is believed to be a way for people to escape pain or suffering. Mental disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse—including alcoholism and the use of psychoactive drugs —are risk factors. Some suicides are impulsive acts due to stress, such as from financial difficulties, relationship problems such as breakups, or bullying.
Suicide is a desperate attempt to escape suffering that has become unbearable. To those who are not in the grips of suicidal depression and despair, it’s difficult to understand what drives millions of individuals to take their own life every year. Blinded by feelings of self-loathing, hopelessness, and isolation, a suicidal person can’t see any way of finding relief except through death.
