The original.

They're the best in class. That's why they're #1 in religious podcasts.

I agree they should investigate PETA. I've heard they're shady and would like to know the truth.

A lot of people complain Ross and Carrie don't Google for info before they start an investigation- and they make that clear. Babies raised in a faith, vulnerable people led into "something", things your friends do- a lot of people just follow along … hopefully they'll examine what they're in before they get too deep. Some people stick to a faith/pseudoscience/whatever, despite seeing the holes- others don't but it just seems logical, as part of their model, to not do a lot of digging beforehand.

Some people complain about their irreverent attitude on the pod... couple thoughts:
I'd be surprised if RnC were anything other than respectful to the practitioners/believers/whatever.
It's not supposed to be dry, factual... I love podcasts with long time friends working together. Try "The Friendly Atheist" for another dynamic duo. If they speak a truth you don't like, back up your truth. Non-theist, secular, skeptical, humanist, left of center (even moderate) compassionate people are seen as a normal and fair game for attacks & ridicule. Standing up for constitutional rights is construed as belligerent and atheists speak of "coming out".

The people who complain they're not allowed to post their "essays" attacking the hosts ought to know it's appropriate to not allow that. Find your forum. Put it there. Don't piggyback on other people, ok?

Give it a chance. They're giving a lot of beliefs a chance to the point I'm impressed by how open they are. Good job guys!

Interesting subject matter, disappointing delivery

I really really want to like this, but every time I listen, they talk about this Maximum Fun Drive thing as much as they talk about the actual topic of the podcast. And for being so critical of people, they get some facts wrong, too.

Interesting, Informative, and Hilarious

I admire Ross and Carrie an inordinate amount. They are courageous in the challenges and people they take on, unflinching in pursuing the truth and the facts, and at the same time demonstrate immense compassion, openness, good humor, and humanity towards all the people they encounter. It would be so easy to slide into snide intellectualism in a podcast with a mission like this, but they don’t. They show respect to everyone they encounter and save their skepticism and snark for the ideas that spread harm or the people who intentionally profit from such.

I love this podcast—I learn something from every episode, laugh along with them in almost every episode, and get great book recommendations from these two. The warmth that they both emit that invites their listeners to share in their delight at absurdity gives me warm fuzzies. Give it a listen and I promise you’ll learn something new and never regret it.

Carrie and Ross—you are amazing and genuinely are two of my heroes.
