Frighteningly off

Just because "scholars" concur, doesn't mean they're right... In fact God lets us know the men who are wise in their own eyes are wrong and if you glean anything from Ezra-Nehemiah..., glean this:
God does not make an appearance or utter a word in these chapters... Why?
D I S O B E D I E N C E

There is not a single renewed vow or action taken consistent w Deuteronomy Leviticus or God's instructions to the remnant as revealed to Jeremiah (take wives 29:6)

These are NOT the remnant, they do NOT obey GOD, they do what is right in their own eyes and that's why they encounter opposition that HUMANS resolve for them.., God has nothing to do w this cradle of pharisaical instruction ..,
For this very reason God distinguishes these by the Greek word kataloipon. Though it is translated into English as "remnant", thus implying those reserved unto the Lord, it is not, quite contrarily... this word is the one consistently referring to the REST of those who were NOT chosen... Those lapping water like a dog (for example)...

The "remnant" of Romans 11:5 is leimma.... Those reserved unto God who had not bowed to Baal. These, however, in Ezra Nehemiah are "the rest" who did what they wanted to do ... They are the synagogue of satan and the ones Jesus says are the children of their father ...(see John 8) the devil.

May be time to study this book as intended: the Comforter will teach you... Or you can just stick with trusting flesh as your arm. (Not a good choice see Jer 17:5)
