This is a biweekly podcast that talks about living between. We’ll lead with the stories of First Generation Black people. People like me have had to code-switch, live in dual worlds, and turn aspects of our personalities “On and Off". More than that, so many of us turn ourselves “On and Off” every day just to keep moving. How are our emotions affected? What are the peaks and valleys of life that we harbor silently but need to start a dialogue about? Let's talk about all of it. Subscribe, leave a review, and tune in every other weekend to listen to On & Off with Ariel. Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onandoffpodcast/support

Chef JusBlaze - Part 1
I spoke with Brooklyn's own Chef JusBlaze this week. He talked me through some heavy experiences from his past and was super transparent with me about how he coped with loss and navigated the earlier stages of grief. I want to take the time to thank him for his story. Even if you can't relate directly, part one of my chat with him is a chat we all need to hear.
Peace, akb.

Let's Unlearn Together
My girl Joy and I interview over the internets about her background and being Dominican-American, born in New York. It's #BlackHistoryMonth but please don't make it just a hashtag. If you're Black, you are history and you live 3-6-5, ok? Happy February!

Stamppot + Pikliz
This episode comes to you in mid-January 2021. So by now, we know what 2020 brought and we are going in with our eyes opened, equipped with the knowledge that we gotta know better and do better. Mentally, physically and emotionally. I tap into that a little but we also get the chance to talk to my friend Jenny as she tells her family stories and how that’s shaped the woman she’s become. You'll find her heritage pretty unique and her story equally so.
Peace,
Ariel

Some REAL Journalism Here
Ariel asks the right questions, this podcasts feels so much different than so many other of just random conversations among friends, this feels real, this feels like humanity and personal interests and this feels like connection. The enjoyment I feel listening to this, like just being able to relax but still feel like a participant in good conversation. There is so much connection; this podcast only reinforces my belief that there is so much more that we have in common than we know until we have these conversations. I’m excited for more. Every interview, every guest I feel like I could listen to all day. Keep em coming Ariel, you’re doing amazing sweetie
Definitely worth tuning in
When I say, relatable I mean like “seriously, who is this doppelgänger telling my story?! We need to link” It’s interesting how we don’t have the same story.. but do.
The host, Ariel, does a great job at exposing the beauty in the differences that really makes us united. Taking you through an intimate and nostalgic journey of reflection, affirmation, warm smiles, and big bursts of laughter that stem from the many degrees of “if you know... YOU KNOW”, On & Off is definitely worth tuning in to!
