Mark welcomes Mary Hallberg to the show.
Mary Hallberg is a dark fantasy & young adult horror author - Her bio states that her mother would have preferred her to read books such as Heidi or Caddie Woodlawn but she was attracted to books such as RL Stine’s Goosebumps instead. Mark welcomes Rebecca Pittman to the show. Rebecca has made living as a professional muralist, motivational speaker, TV Talk Show Host, and author. She majored in journalism and art in college, and finds joy, in creating, using both brush and keyboard.
Writing about historic places with paranormal activity is a passion of mine. Their history is fascinating...what I call the "bones" of the place. From there you begin to understand the hauntings that typically list the places I write about in the top 10 most-haunted venues in the world. I research them extensively, spend the nights in their shadowed bedrooms, and interview the owners, staff, and customers to create the most comprehensive book I can.

On the Odd - Near Death Experiences: The Rest of the Story
Mark welcomes PMH Atwater to the show.
PMH Atwater had a handwriting analysis in the mid-sixties that led to a complete career and lifestyle change. She was redirected into public service and innovative project development and analysis. Paralleling this change she began intensive research into paranormal and altered states of consciousness. With a professional background in hypnotic past-life regressions, sensitivity work, de-haunting houses, and mediumship, she came to specialize in aura massage, astrology, numerology, dream and symbol interpretation, rune casting, divinatory and earth energy sensing.
1977 set the stage for severe health traumas resulting in death and the near-death phenomenon. The following year, in an effort to understand what had happened to her and was still happening, she began to seek out and interview other near-death survivors. She has served two terms on the Board of the International Association for Near-Death Studies.

On the Odd - Food Waste and The Art of Frugality
Mark welcomes Amy and Dwayne AKA "Frugal Mommy and Frugal Daddy" from the YouTube channel, Freakin Frugal to the show.
Amy is a well educated professional who has left her day to day career to dumpster dive. It is a topic that fascinates me and when I began watching The Freakin Frugal Youtube Channel which is Amy and her husband Dwayne, I didn’t expect much more than entertainment but right away I was taken back with the insane amount of food that is thrown away not only every year but if you follow her channel, the amount that is thrown away daily!

Great audio quality elevates this podcast
It’s nice to hear the retro sound of vinyl sometimes, but not when listening to a podcast. The audio quality of On the Odd is refreshingly wonderful. Great job, guys. The content could use a tune up—I’d listen regularly if it wandered OT less. I can hear semi-randomized conversation in the coffee shop across the street any time—I like podcasts because they illuminate subjects of interest. Maybe try starting from an outline that you can return to if the conversation starts to go off the rails?
Not what I expected
I thought this podcast might scratch an itch for me, but it is not at all what I expected. The host seems unprepared to the point that I feel like I’m listening to The Chris Farley show (“Remember, um, that time you all, um, saw those aliens? That was awesome!”). The guests come across as extremists and don’t offer much content beyond speculation. I’m disappointed this podcast was recommended to me.
Love your voice. Love the topics. Keep rockin’ it!
Perfectly interestingly fun!
