On The Rocks is a channel where spirit enthusiasts, Jorel and Anthony, review a vast array of liquors and liqueurs.
ASI is the bigger picture of On The Rocks. We host a variety of shows and podcasts discussing all things pop culture-- Music, video games, comics books, art, writing, politics...nothing is off the table for the ASI team.
We review spirits for the laymen; we are not professional tasters (nor do we claim to be).
We are also not bartenders. You will often find us mixing-up classic cocktails along with many of our 'on the fly' concoctions.
We rate the spirits on a '10-Star' platform, and have loads of fun doing it!
We review everything-- Including, but certainly not limited to: whiskey, vodka, gin, brandy, moonshine, tequila, scotch, soju, various liqueurs and of course...the other whisky!

Commander's Rye Whiskey Review - On The Rocks
During back-to-back episodes, Jorel and Anthony review two of Heritage Distilling Company's liquors: The Commander's Rye Whiskey and the Brown Sugar Bourbon.

Captain Morgan Loconut Rum Review - On The Rocks
The newest liquor from Captain Morgan, Loconut Rum, comes in a novelty Coconut decanter to match their prior release, Captain Morgan's Cannonblast, which was modeled after a cannonball.
In a surprise review for Anthony, Jorel and him discuss the Captain Morgan Loconut Rum's possible uses as a cocktail base, the novelty of having a liquor that looks and tastes like spiked Coconut milk, and the future of the Captain Morgan brand.

Comic Book Shops to Visit & New Amsterdam Citron - Day Drunk
In this extra long drunken episode of Day Drunk, Anthony and Ariel drink a fifth of New Amsterdam's Citron Vodka and discuss cool local and regional comic book shops and arcades to visit in the Pacific Northwest.
They also piggy back of the previous episode and converse about what they enjoy seeing added onto comic book shops to keep them alive and afloat, so that they can survive in a rocky climate.
Also, a special shoutout to Ariel's mother, Lynda Mccauley, for providing the topic of discussion for this episode of Day Drunk as well as recommending The Arc Arcade in Astoria, Oregon as a comic book shop/arcade to visit in the Pacific Northwest.

Day Drunk is the On The Rocks’ weekend show. As we have grown as a community, our team wanted to bring more content to the channel, thus Day Drunk was born!
Our weekend show is hosted by Anthony Schultz and Intern Mk. II, Ariel Schultz. They primarily work graveyards and often find themselves day drinking and cooking the day away with their numerous dogs and cats underfoot. They wanted to bring the ‘late night,’ graveyard-working, drinking culture to the channel with a pop culture twist on it.
Day Drunk will feature a specific liquor for drinking, but not to be reviewed. Anthony and Ariel will then provide some quick facts about the brand and liquor, but primarily focus on a current, relevant topic of discussion for the weekend such as: Star Wars, Ghost in the Shell, cooking, and everything in between.
Day Drunk releases every Saturday and Sunday at 9a.m. PST., and as always feel free to provide critiques and ideas to help evolve the show. -

This weekend on Day Drunk, Anthony and Intern Mk. II discuss the closure and downturn in comic book shops and sales in a more serious and (hopefully) poignant episode. They discuss the many different facets to this complex issue as well as provide their own insights into the matter as avid readers and comic book fans.
