Excellent Pod Host, Disappointing Pod

I'm a podcaster who uses Captivate as a host for my show and I absolutely love it!

The Captivate Insider podcast is not good though. I've just listened to eps 18-20 (although I stopped listening around halfway on each) and they are not helpful.

The episodes are slow to start and there is no compelling hook a the beginning of each ep.

More importantly, the guest on each ep shares things that are true, but are either so specific to them or so generic that I leave the ep with no actionable takeaway for my own show. i.e. I can learn some generic advice about podcast post-production software or video podcasting, but I've learned nothing that will help me do my podcast better (which I assume is the aim of this show).

At best, these convos can help frame the listener's mentality toward a certain aspect of podcasting, but I'm disappointed that the discussion doesn't go any further. It just stays generic.

Frame my understanding, and then give me specific advice or resources that will help me be a better podcaster.
